Work Progressing on Disc Golf Course - Your Help is Needed!!

Friends of Legion are hard at work to make a world class disc golf course a reality at the Park and we need your help!!
The course will be named after Paul "Big Iron" Thompson. Work is already underway with the assistance of volunteers from the disc golf community across the area. Clearing and course layout are nearing completion but there is still much work to be done: Tee pads need to poured, signage purchased and placed and benches and additional site preparation. There are still significant costs. We need support from our local community to make the "Big Iron" one of the best courses in the state; bringing in visitors on a daily basis and for big tournament weekends. The "Big Iron" will not only increase park usage but also be an economic asset to our community. If you are a business, organization or an individual that desires to support our park, our community and the sport of disc golf - now is the time. If financial goals are met in the next few weeks, Legion may have the opportunity to host tournaments as early as this fall! We have corporate sponsorships available.
